SKY

A convergence of instinct and vision.

Experience EYE - a two-night, gallery-like performance inside a Los Angeles soundstage, featuring two works by Jacob Jonas.

We welcome Sara Mearns, principal dancer with the New York City Ballet, in the premiere of Zebra, a solo choreographed by Jacob Jonas with an original score by Imogen Heap and original costume by Berlin designer Yannic Pretzlaff. Inspired by Why Zebras Don’t Get Ulcers by neuroscientist Robert Sapolsky, the work investigates how stress lives in the body and how instinct becomes both memory and medicine.

Also featured: Coyote, Fox, Wolf, Dragonfly, Butterfly, Bee, Eagle, Raven, Hawk
an ensemble work by Jacob Jonas with music by Patrick Watson and costume design by Entire Studios.
A constellation of creatures.
A meditation on migration, shape-shifting, and vision across time.

The eye is both mirror and messenger.
It reveals and conceals. It sees out and sees in.
It is how we watch, and how we are witnessed.

We call this shared gaze: EYE
You’re invited.
